Peter Cole
Rating:

This is a companion volume to Ethical Theory by Mel Thompson. Both are part of the series access to religion and philosophy and both have been revised in the light of change to A and AS specifications, which came into force September 08. This book is structured thematically, covering the areas required by the exam boards, but would also (as with Ethical Theory) provide an excellent introduction for the general reader.
Philosophy of Religion regularly refers readers to short passages for further reading, a very helpful aid for students. It also contains numerous references to major philosophers and theologians. The book is cast firmly within the western tradition of philosophy, so does not attempt to cover eastern religions.
